Healing Haiti

Posted by Scott Stebbing on Mon, May 18, 2015 @ 09:49 AM

We are very proud to announce that our own Jacob Stebbing
will be taking a three month sabbatical from Stebgo this summer to help in the
relief effort in Haiti. He is going to be working with missions teams in the
Port-au-Prince area and will be involved with the orphanage at Grace Village in
Titanyen. The organization he is working with is Healing Haiti and they have
been partnering with the Haitian people for over nine years by delivering clean
water, providing orphan and elderly care, feeding programs, community outreach
and development, as well as sharing the love of Christ.  Healing Haiti is
currently in the process of building a Church and school in Cite Soleil, one of
the poorest slums in Haiti.

Changes to MN bullion dealer law

Posted by Scott Stebbing on Mon, Jun 16, 2014 @ 08:02 AM

There have been some sweeping changes to the
bullion dealer law here in Minnesota. These new requirements have been the topic
of much discussion with my Minnesota coin, pawn and jewelry clients. I have included
some government links for you to access and look over as these changes take
effect starting August 1st. Many other states are watching this process in MN
closely, as they are also considering making changes to their Bullion dealer
requirements. I would appreciate any feedback or further information on this
topic so please feel free to add your comments.

A few years back some fakes of this nature appeared on the market.  Some of our clients have recently notifieded us that they are seeing them again, so we did a little research and checked our files on fake silver bars that have come through the refinery over the last few years.

Secure Your Jewelry Store or Pawnshop Over the Holidays

Posted by Kiira Wilcox on Tue, Nov 19, 2013 @ 09:38 AM

The holidays are upon us and Black Friday is just a couple short weeks away. For some of our customers this year has been rough for robberies, some have been out-right dangerous. This blog post is a compilation of information from our customers, the Jewelers’ Security Alliance, Jeweler’s Mutual, and tips I have gathered from some security companies.
